Allow Us To Introduce Ourselves...
Kevin Hoffman
Kevin got his start when he was 10, teaching himself BASIC on a Commodore Vic-20 that his grandfather repaired after it had been thrown in the trash. Since then, he’s been addicted to learning and utilizing every aspect of software development possible. Starting off building small shareware games for BBSs, he moved on to building software for a scientific instrument company in Turners Falls, MA. From there, he went on to working for various companies including a dot-com era e-Commerce startup, companies that provide public records search engines, custom consulting firms where he wrote code for HP’s Halo telepresence rooms, and even incredibly high-profile leading edge financial firms.
Throughout his career his passion for learning and teaching has led him to writing and co-authoring multiple books on .NET programming, presenting at conferences including Apple’s prestigious WWDC, Microsoft DevDays, multiple local .NET User Group meetings, dozens of magazine and online articles, as well as an incredibly popular long-running blog. He has even written articles and documentation for Apple’s internal Developer Connection website.
Nate Dudek
Nate began programming at a young age when he started reading Nibble magazine and programming BASIC on his grandmother’s Apple IIe. He quickly became addicted to 1’s and 0’s and, throughout the remainder of his early education, taught himself everything from C++ to low-level assembler to UNIX to web design. Over the past ten years, he has architected and developed software for a variety of industries, including real-time systems for power utilities, enterprise resource planning systems for service-based companies, and eCommerce systems for web businesses.
Nate has presented at several conferences, written magazine articles, blogs about all areas of technology, and is currently authoring his first book. He is constantly mentoring and teaching developers on software development best practices, software architecture, and new technologies. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Clarkson University with a minor in Software Engineering.
